Journey to a healthier me

Note to my damn self!!!! 

Last week I told you about my 10 day detox challenge that I am partaking in well I did very well on the first 2 days (hence the posts) then it went downhill from there, BOOM a public holiday came and I DID NOT PREPARE ! Prior preparation really does help when you doing a whole lifestyle change. Well my failing to plan and prepare has brought me back to square 1!! 

Today is Monday and I have started the challenge again. As I post this I have let myself down and had a cup of coffee *cries for days* so I am drowning it with lots of water. 

I am not even having a colleague birthday cake…

#TheDanielPlan not so easy! I need to focus and look at the bigger picture as to where I want to be and all will be hunky dory :)

I will not give up on myself.

Day 2 journey to a healthier lifestyle

Day 2 

Day two is not so great, not only am I having a weird kinda of bad day at work not making things easy on this detox journey..

I feel tired more than ever I am not sure if this is supposed to happen or my body is in shock! What I am realising though is that the idea that I have to think of what next to eat is driving me crazy! At the same time it has shown how careless I have been when it came to food, I would eat and buy whatever I wanted without thinking.

Not only was I careless with food but with money!! I guess what has been an eye opener for me is how much I have been spending money on things that I seriously thought I needed but I don’t. Last night after Yoga I went to Woolies (as normal after class) and I couldn’t see one thing to buy and made me think WOW T you actually don’t need this but because you can afford and want to you do it.

So I walked out and went home…

I prepared my meal for day 2 last night!

Breakfast- mushrooms, green/yellow and red pepper with garlic avocado and sweet potato ( made it all up! and it wasn’t to shabby)

Hot water with lemon

Lunch - Beans with chicken (last night dinner)

Mid day snack - Strawberry/rasberry smoothie 

throughout the day I’ve been drinking water. Had two meetings today and when they offered me coffee I sad “no thanks, water please” {yah …}

I am supposed to go to swimming this afternoon with a  friend she forgot her costume and i haven’t bought mine *hides* so today is no exercise day :( this will be the last time in this journey I give myself a day off when it comes to exercise!! #notetoself

Other than all todays lessons I look forward to the journey!

Not sure yet what I am having for dinner maybe tuna salad…
